Memorable Journeys

Edition: The Wind

I am familiar with the world of astral travel and out-of-body experiences (OBEs), and for over eight years, I have been enjoying this incredible state of awareness. While many of my journeys have been for fun, the experiences often become meaningful when viewed over a longer period of time. Expanding our awareness always contributes to personal growth. As you can read in the About section of this website, I have experienced many interesting things. In this blog, I will share my experiences with the wind.

A fundamental cornerstone of my understanding, based on my subjective experiences, is that everything that is manifested has a soul, or a spirit if you like. I don’t want you to believe me; rather, I encourage you to verify this for yourself. When we transcend the idea of belief, we no longer feel threatened by new or illogical information. Instead, we can observe it with curiosity and without the need to dismiss it.

During The Monroe Institute’s Gateway Voyage training, a six-day program, I had many profound experiences. But the most astounding one occurred during the second-to-last exercise, which took place in nature. Normally, we would lie in bed and travel in the astral realms, but for this exercise, we were invited to interact with nature while in Focus Level 21, an expanded state of awareness.

The divine design

During the exercise, I communicated with nature as you might imagine—talking to trees and understanding that everything holds information. Then, I noticed one of the fellow participants walking in ultra-slow motion, which inspired me to do the same. I moved away from her and began walking in that slow manner. On my second step, I observed two massive flashes of green light, revealing patterns in the grass below me, I was seeing the divine design. These patterns clearly showed the underlying blueprint in which everything grows. Wow! I was amazed.

Upon that realization, I formed the intention to bring myself back to Focus Level 1, this physical reality. But before I could do so, I felt something attach to my right forearm, like a non-physical, invisible, stick. Then, my arm was lifted and began to swing gently from left to right. “Huh… what’s this?” I thought. I immediately decided to let go and move along with the experience, handing over control of my arm to whatever was moving it. After a few swings, an enormous gust of wind swept through. I was utterly stunned! It either had perfect timing, or it had actually turned on the wind. Based on the feelings during the experience, I know it was the latter.

"I am the Wind", he replied.

Weeks after the training, I practiced OBEs almost every evening. After the training, I had to adapt to doing these OBEs in a daily, family-like setting. For that reason, I went on many journeys for fun while practicing. During one of those journeys, I flew above a Native American settlement. An old, pipe-smoking man caught my attention. He was sitting in front of his tipi, watching a big fire nearby. I landed next to him, and our eyes met. Then, I noticed I was moving into the fire, without fear and without any sensation of physical pain. I became smoke and went up... “Huh… what’s this?” I thought, and I returned to the man.

“Who are you?” I asked.
“I am the Wind,” he replied.

And again, I moved into the fire, became smoke, moved upwards, and then transformed into the complete airstream around the planet. I was all the wind. Normally, my physical body does not participate during an OBE, but in this case, my body moved in waves, and it was the most sensual experience! It was then that I realized who had turned on the wind.

The wind is still strongly connected to my current life experience, and from time to time, it is present in my journeys, expressing temporality: everything comes and goes.

Nothing is eternal, so is consciousness, and so is our true nature; never changing..
